Who We Are

Alex Denisov
President & CEO
Alex is an accomplished physicist, engineer, and innovator with over 20 years of experience in ultrasonic imaging and non-destructive evaluation (NDE) technologies. After earning a combined B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics of Living Systems from the Moscow Institute for Physics and Technology, he completed a Ph.D. at the University of Windsor, Canada. His doctoral work focused on hardware and signal/image processing methods for ultrasonic imaging, culminating in the development of optimized 2D ultrasonic arrays.
Over his career, Alex has made significant contributions to both academic research and industry. As a contractor at DaimlerChrysler, he was instrumental in developing and enhancing the Resistance Spot Weld Analyzer, receiving recognition from senior leadership and a DaimlerChrysler award for outstanding R&D achievements. Additionally, as the founder of Sonocode, he provided specialized consulting services in software development and NDE technologies. For the past two decades, he has served as a Senior Software Engineer at Tessonics Inc., where he has led system engineering, algorithm design, and software development for cutting-edge ultrasonic imaging systems.
Alex’s work has been recognized internationally, earning him prestigious grants and awards, including a German Ministry of Education grant and numerous academic accolades. He is the co-author of multiple journal articles, conference proceedings, and research reports, and holds a U.S. patent for a groundbreaking method of assessing spot weld quality. His career reflects a seamless integration of scientific expertise and practical innovation, driving advancements in imaging and material evaluation technologies.

Matthew McReynolds
COO & CFO
Matt brings expertise and advanced knowledge in sales, operations, public relations, marketing, and administrative procedures. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Windsor, with a specialization in Entrepreneurship.
Previously, Matt served as the Operations Manager at Tessonics, where he led day-to-day operations and implemented strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall quality. Prior to his role in operations, he served as the Business Development Manager at Tessonics, where he significantly expanded the customer base in North America and Europe, managed the company’s international distributor network, negotiated sales contracts, oversaw production departments, and ensured that product development aligned with customer needs. Before his time at Tessonics, Matt worked as a Financial Consultant, gaining comprehensive experience in investing and lending for both personal and commercial clients.

Adam Turton
CTO
Adam is a versatile engineer with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and a passion for solving complex problems across hardware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing domains. Skilled in analog and high-speed digital design, FPGA development, DSP, and process control, Adam is also proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, SQL, and R, with extensive experience on platforms like Linux, FreeRTOS, and Windows. His education includes a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario, where he earned the admired Heaslip Scholarship for academic excellence and leadership.
With extensive professional experience, Adam has excelled in leadership and technical roles. At Tessonics, he previously managed a multidisciplinary engineering team, heading challenging projects while establishing a quality control department to enhance field performance. Adam has designed and implemented cutting-edge hardware and software for ultrasonic non-destructive testing as Engineering Manager. His tenure at Core Laboratories included transitioning product lines to Linux, developing secure data gateways, and advancing DSP systems to ARM/FPGA solutions. Earlier in his career at Honda of Canada Manufacturing, Adam optimized industrial processes and collaborated with contractors to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions.
Adam’s career reflects a proven ability to lead teams, innovate in technology, and deliver high-impact results. His blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a solution-oriented mindset makes him a valuable asset to the Crafted organization.
